Greetings! I am developing a course in streaming for the Web. It is for a Bachelor of Journalism program. I have the technology down fairly well but here is the problem. As a part of a degree program there is supposed to be a theoretical base to some of the work. Does anyone know of any research into multimedia from a theoretical perspective? I have searched high and low: there is a lot of research into multimedia as a means of education but not much into multimedia itself.
As an alternative has anyone read/heard anything about the business case for multimedia? My main example has been what the L.A. Times did with Mediastorm and the "Marlboro marine". http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/marlboromarine/ And http://www.mediastorm.com Any help, even flaming, would be appreciated.
