Who are your users? Is this a formal website, or is it something more casual?
If it's a more formal website or something with a serious tone (such as a health-related site that a user would rely on to provide accurate information), you might lose credibility with some folks by using "their." Not sure how reliable that Grammar Girl site is that someone else posted, but here's what it recommends: "Rewrite your sentences to avoid the problem. If that's not possible, check to see if the people you are writing for have a style guide.
