I am currently working on behalf of an excellent client on a long
term Senior Interaction Designer contract. If this sounds interesting

DESCRIPTION:

The successful candidate will sit in Glendale Arizona and travel to
San Francisco will be required. This is the perfect opportunity to
work with a large, well known institution. We are looking for
candidates with heavy transactional experience (e.g. in banking,
insurance, travel, etc). Experience working on an employee facing
application is a big plus. 

The Interaction Designer leads user-centered design processes to
ensure that web-based transactional applications are easy to use and
help employees meet their goals. This position will deal primarily
with the design of browser-based Enterprise software, including
employee-facing sales and service interfaces across a wide variety of
products. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

-Assist business partners in turning high-level business requirements
into more specific project requirements.
 -Conduct user and task analyses to define user needs (user
scenarios, persona/profile building and interpretation). 
-Develop high-level information flows and navigation systems (concept
diagrams, flow charts, site maps, etc.). 
-Drive the optimum implementation of functionality through research
and usability testing. 
-Develop detailed user experience specifications (wireframes,
schematics, storyboards). 
-Work with visual designers to ensure look & feel of given
initiatives meets intended user interaction. 
-Participate in the development of product prototypes for usability
testing and proof of concept purposes. 
-Participate in usability tests by helping to define methodology,
conducting walks-through and developing reports. 
-Represent proposed solutions to business partners. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

-Minimum 3 years web application interaction design and/or
information architecture experience, undergraduate or graduate degree
in HCI, Human Factors, Information Architecture or the like a plus. 
-Experience working with transactional web applications or software.

-Demonstrated knowledge of the software application design and
creation process, particularly how it pertains to web development.
-Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style
guides and create effective solutions within those guidelines. 
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through various
formats (oral, written, graphic design) with staff as well as
business and technology partners. 
-Conceptual understanding of various web-related technologies
including HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript. 
-Working knowledge of interaction design tools including Visio,
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar. -Strong organizational
skills. 
-Deadline- and detail-oriented


CLIENT DESCRIPTION:

This client is a large well respected national company. Aquent has a
long history partnering with this client and contracts tend to be
long term and stable.
