The annual British Human Computer Interaction conference (HCI 2009) is
being held in Cambridge this summer for the first time in more than a
decade. As part of the programme, leading user experience practitioners,
consultants and educators are offering introductory and advanced
tutorials on usability topics. This is a great opportunity to learn
about current techniques at far lower cost than typical commercial
presentations of these methods including:

- In-Depth Introduction to Field Research in User-Centred Design
- Innovations in Card-Sorting: A Hands-on Approach
- Ajax: Design and Usability
- Mobile Interaction Design
- Prototyping in Physical Computing using the Arduino microcontroller
and software
- Designing Effective Search & Discovery User Experiences
- Beyond Anecdotes: Analyzing Qualitative Data from Field Studies
