I have to mention the grad program that I am attending right now, the
Interaction Design Masters at Malmö University, in Malmö, Sweden.

We didn't have any specific industrial design courses during our 1st year of
design themes, but you are given the freedom to focus on more hardware
design solutions if you wish to. I decided on this school partially to start
a focus on physical designs. I gradually moved towards hardware designs
throughout the year as I became more comfortable. My last project was an
arduino-based hardware solution for an alternative input device for laptops.

We have had visiting Industrial Design professors from the Cape Peninsula
University of Technology, in Cape Town, South Africa. There is also a
spectacular workshop on campus that can assist with any "industrial design"
type work.

One of the curriculum changes for this year's class, is a longer focus on
physical prototyping.

If you are interested in more information, just email me directly!
Rob :)
