We've had 3 cancellations for the upcoming Lecture & Workshop from Marc Rettig "Designing for Life" on September 24th
More detail available at: http://www.bostonixda.org/ (Also take a gander at the jobs section, we've had two positions come along in recent weeks) While working with Marc to setup this event he wanted to let people know of a workshop he and Lauralee Alben are co-facilitating at the School of Visual Arts in New York, the week before he joins us in Boston. It relates directly to some of the themes in Designing for Life, and it's a chance to dive into more depth and conduct some personal exploration. Here is a link to the workshop description. In the left margin you’ll find a link to a PDF, and a link to the registration page. http://www.albendesign.com/1_workshops_designwork.html In Marc's own words; "I would describe this as a sequence of facilitated activities aimed at helping people look to see what really matters to them, conceive work that aligns with that significant source of personal meaning, and begin to design ways they can actually pursue that work. Lauralee brings the Sea Change Design Process she has been developing over the last decade, and I bring some recent practical experience in going through a similar process in my own life. Some people come to the workshop with something specific in mind – something they are working on or dreaming about, the threshold they feel before them, a change they would like to engender. Some come because they feel they have the means and influence to help change the world, but they need to clarify how to do it." The going rate for three full, hard-working days is $1195. We have a corporate rate of $995 when three people from the same company register for the workshop. So if three people from IxDA Boston want to come, we’ll treat them as coming from the same organization and give each of them $200 off. (They’ll have to register by fax using the form that’s available on the registration page. Paypal doesn’t know about the discount.) -- IxDA Boston organisers: Lisa, Harlan, Jesse & Pauric local site: http://www.bostonixda.org Feed: http://boston-ixda.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default ________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the Interaction Design Association (IxDA)!
