Amazon's Seller Website Business is seeking a talented, passionate Senior UI Designer to join our creative team. We are looking for a highly motivated person with proven user interface design skills to translate business goals into innovative user experiences that will help thousands of sellers be successful using the Amazon WebStore ecommerce platform and services to run their multichannel retail operations. The ideal candidate has relevant experience designing complex user interactions and knows how to leverage visitor data to inform their recommendations and measure their design solutions. The proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment and balance multiple projects successfully is critical for success on our team.
Responsibilities ⢠Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups as needed to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors. ⢠Analyze user interface problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements. ⢠Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases, high-level requirements ⢠Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing and interpreting analytics data using Omniture SiteCatalyst. ⢠Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and Amazon.com executives for review and feedback ⢠Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards. ⢠Provide leadership in the area of ecommerce trends and user interface innovations. Qualifications ⢠Minimum 7 years industry experience providing interaction design solutions for web and/or software applications. Experience in designing for content management, WYSIWYG editors or inventory systems a plus. ⢠Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization. ⢠Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player. ⢠Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. ⢠Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques ⢠Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, and Dreamweaver ⢠Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, or Flash ⢠A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions. ⢠Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience View and apply online: https://us-amazon.icims.com/jobs/96668/job?in_iframe=1
