Bestica is searching for a proven leader with experience guiding a team through multiple aspects of the UX process: ethnography, prototyping, design, and specification. Our client is building PC and web-based applications for the community of Brew software developers. The successful candidate will engage existing and potential Brew developers to understand their use of the current product offerings work with their engineers and product management to understand new feature requirements, and participate in the design and specification of new versions or products. He or she will be responsible for communicating with the relevant Product Management, Engineering and Testing groups. The project requires a strong technical mind who can understand how programmers use standard IDEs such as Visual Studio and Eclipse, and someone who can develop and drive a UX vision for complex tools.
Skills/Experience: 10+ years experience, 3-5 years managing and mentoring a UX group A professional education relevant to user research and design. Skill in understanding human behavioral data and characteristics. Fast learner. Our division is very fast-paced and places a premium on flexibility and technical knowledge. The ability to aggregate insights from primary research, product management, engineering and other sources into actionable design concepts and solutions Broad and flexible skills in interaction design Ability to articulate the pros and cons of designs and support choices with clear, detailed evidence and rationale for decisions. Ability to resolve trade-offs between design and implementation issues Additional Skills Education Requirements Bachelors required in Psychology, Cognitive Science, HCI, Human Factors.
