The CHI2010 Workshop on Researcher-Practitioner Interaction will bring together
researchers and practitioners of HCI to explore whether and to what extent
difficulties exist between them -- and, if so, will endeavor to identify the
dimensions of the problems and propose possible solutions. On the one hand, we
will work to articulate factors that may render the research literature
inaccessible or irrelevant to practitioners and to suggest potential
improvements and approaches. On the other hand, we will also strive to learn
from researchers how their research could benefit from practitioner input.

We invite practitioners and researchers to submit a position statement and a
short bio. Send contributions by email to me, by 5pm EDT on 30 October 2009.

Please forward this message to anyone you think may be interested. Please refer
them to the workshop web page (see below) and do NOT post my email address on
the web unless you disguise it the way the workshop page does. Thanks!
