Sorry for a second post in one day.

I find that I often have to fight for design -- not for me as the designer, but just for spending time and money on design. Some clients don't know what it is, but believe it has something to do with making things prettier after they are almost built.

So ... in preparation for writing a blog piece on this subject, I queried some friends. One wrote a paragraph that's almost a poem, and says just about all I wanted to put in my mini-essay.
