Hi everyone, When would you use faceted navigation in your designs?
There is a lot of information out there about types of faceted navigation and patterns for faceted navigation. But I can't find much about when to use faceted navigation. I'm working on a project at the moment and there is discussion around using faceted navigation for a situation where there is only 2 facets for an object. My initial thought is that faceted nav would be overkill here. Which brought me to "well, what conditions would be well served by faceted navigation?"
