FILTER is looking for a Senior UX Designer for a one year contract opportunity in Redmond. The Senior UX Designer will contribute to a driven and innovative team by designing user interfaces for web, software and/or hardware products. Our ideal applicant has phenomenal creative skills, fluency with standard design software tools and advanced interaction design and web technology skills. The Senior UX Designer should also be able to understand and integrate customer needs and motivations and address those needs through product design, features and functionality. At least 5 years of related experience are required for this position.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING Responsible for designing user interfaces for web, software, and/or hardware products Writing functionality design specifications, designing and implementing prototypes, mock ups, task analysis, usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams Generating design ideas Presenting and selling designs to product group Understanding customer needs and motivations and integrating them into product design to contribute to user features and functionality Acting as consultant to other team leads May manage external production and design resources SKILLS YOULL NEED 5 plus years work related experience required (with minimum of 2 years experience in a lead role) Must have experience with Flash or Director development (using Behaviors, advanced capabilities) or equivalent in another tool Ability to work individually as well as collaborate with User Research Experience incorporating usability feedback into the design process a must Knowledge of XAML preferred Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, or the IT professional space, preferred Strong knowledge of user interface and functionality design required Advanced experience in creating and implementing usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams is required Advanced knowledge of web technologies (i.e. HTML and CSS) Fluency with standard design software tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) required Advanced interaction design and web technology skills (i.e. Flash) may be required Strong knowledge or experience with database served websites Must have ability to own and drive projects A BIT ABOUT FILTER FILTER is a full-service creative resources company that connects industry-leading companies with the very best creative talent throughout the West Coast.
