We are seeking a qualified Senior User Interface Designer to join the CA Wily Engineering team at our office in South San Francisco, CA.
This is a critical position! This role will contribute to the future design of CA Wilys APM product. CA Wily APM combines sophisticated visualization with a rich interactive user experience to create the market leading Application Performance Management tool. The qualified candidate will have a strong background in the design of interactive applications and experience with thick and thin client UI technologies. A background in Human Factors, User-Centered Design, Cognitive Psychology, Information Architecture, or a similar field is a must. Key Responsibilities: Working with the rest of the UE team to drive innovation of user interaction and data visualization in the product Producing UI designs in the form of use cases, sketches, story boards, flow diagrams, wire frames, and high fidelity prototypes Ensuring produced designs meet usability objectives and user requirements Working with Product Managers, UI developers, and Graphic Designers building the next generation of user interface for the product Conducting usability tests with end-users and domain experts Championing UCD principles to developers, product managers and executives Planning and performing usability research; includes project planning, conducting evaluations, analyzing results, documenting issues, and proposing recommendations Requirements: Commitment to a career of User Experience Design excellence with at least 5 years of experience Prior contribution to the User Experience of multiple complex applications, including enterprise applications and web applications Understanding of UCD analytical methods and their application to the design process Proficiency in user interface prototyping Commitment to customers success with our products Clarity and precision in verbal and written communication Master's Degree or equivalent in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related discipline highly preferred Additionally, candidates will benefit from experience in any of the following areas: graphic design, Java Swing, data visualization, Flash/Flex, Silverlight, JavaScript and Rich Client technologies.
