To apply, please send your cover letter and resume to: careers at geonetric.com See the full job description at: http://www.geonetric.com/careers/jobs/user-experience-designer.aspx ----- *Responsibilities * - Collaborate with product management team to distill user research and business objectives into functional and interface specifications/prototypes - Gain a thorough understanding of the problem, value, context, and users - Design elegant, efficient, user-centered solutions to given problems - Articulate and document solutions through user flows, storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, test cases, or written specifications - Interact with engineering daily to clarify and adjust development requirements and constraints - Support research efforts by UX Researcher. - Apply research findings to designs balancing the impact on target audience/s - Develop and maintain a design pattern library *Supervisory Responsibilities* The User Experience Designer does not directly supervise any employees, but they often work with developers and project managers per the project requirements. They also provide technical assistance as necessary. *Qualifications **Education and/or Experience* - BA/BS in a design-related field or combination of relevant education and minimum of 2 years experience - Additional education or training in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, or related fields preferred - Experience with, and knowledge of Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Usability, Visual Design, and Prototyping, including related activities, techniques, and deliverables - Experience applying rapid, iterative design process to complex problems - Strong visual design skills, portfolio required demonstrating your skills and experience.
