interested in developing creative ideas and fostering meaningful
interactions between people and brands. We're seeking a Connection
Planner to work at an innovative, creative company located in Seattle.

The Connection Planner will influence how brands interact with people by
taking visionary ideas and turning them into functional media plans.
Working closely with an interdisciplinary team, the Connection Planner
will articulate the role of media planning activities for assigned
accounts and ensure overall quality and accuracy in execution.
Responsibilities will range from monitoring competitive activity and
assisting with major proposal evaluations to contributing to client plan
development and overseeing optimization.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

*         Collaborating with staff to develop media strategies and
tactics that support the connections plan and strategy

*         Identifying and recommending opportunities to improve
infrastructure and processes 

*         Oversight of data gathering activities for major media plans

*         Monitoring of trade publications for new media trends and
developments

*         Attending appropriate local and national industry events

*         Monitoring of competitive activity, report developments and
points of view to relevant stakeholders

*         Developing media insights based on available data (client,
third party, campaign data and observed behaviors)

*         Contribute to client plan development and oversee
contributions by junior staff

*         Oversee negotiation and execution of media buys while being
capable of stepping in to negotiate/execute as needed

*         Lead and contribute to client status meetings

*         Oversight of optimization and post buy analysis activities

*         Maintain strong relationships with media sales managers and
sales representatives, both locally and nationally 

*         Communicate relevant materials to agency/client stakeholders
verbally and in written form clearly and with precision

*         Mentor junior staff on best practices related to research,
planning, buying and stewardship

SKILLS YOU'LL NEED

*         3-6 years experience managing media (online or offline), with
at least 2-4 years experience managing online media

*         2 year degree in advertising or related field preferred

*         Strong analytical skills

*         Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

*         Experience managing staff a plus

*         Comfortable with online tools such as @Plan/ComScore,
AdRelevance, Hitwise, Third Party Ad Serving Technologies, Ad Exchange

*         Familiar with offline tools such as Scarborough, Simmons/MRI
and SQAD

*         Proactive, solution-oriented demeanor

*         Innovative, creative thinker

*         Strong interpersonal skills

*         Excellent organizational and campaign management skills

*         Proven ability to work with intra-departmental teams across
the organization
