Hi Kayan,

I am against the play/pause button as well. It should work with minimum
clicks. Keep it elegant

Carousals are a elegant way to display content without reloading the
whole page.

It is one of the latest trends based on visual appeal and space
effectiveness.

Check out Global Spotlight in http://global.nytimes.com/. Rotates
automatically untill user intervenes.

Or, http://www.yahoo.com/ where the snippets appear on mouse over.. that
saves a lot of clicking.

More examples -

les/

I think you can set the timing according to the content.

Cheers,

Flash Rotators, should we have users activate them? Should we have a
pause, stop button? Should they be rotating at all? I saw that Yahoo
Lifestyle recently added command buttons to their pages
http://ca.lifestyle.yahoo.com/. I personally have never believed in
their efficiency in conveying multiple messages but it looks like I am
stuck with them. I want to at least make the user's experience as easy
as possible. I have looked for articles and research to prove my point
but have not found much. I hope you guys can help, Thoughts?

Thanks,

Kayan
