Skype-to-Skype calls have been made since our inception.  Conversations over 
Skype can take place on
computers, mobile devices, and Skype certified hardware

on these opportunities. 

UI Developers

Location: Brisbane, CA

 

* Will create
and communicate design deliverables such as 
specifications, templates, storyboards, wire-frames, and personas,

* Will design
interactive prototypes according to business, brand, market, and user
requirements,

            * Low-fidelity models to demonstrate
viability of concepts, and;

            * High-fidelity prototypes to
accompany functional specifications.

* Will develop
product concepts and suggest product direction based on design research and
functional requirements,

* Will partner
with engineering on the implementation of interactive techniques and
technologies, and;

* Will support
UE research efforts and recommend visual design enhancements.



As a member of our User Experience team, your design
innovations can make a significant impact on our partners by enabling rapid and
intuitive application development on our platform. You will collaborate closely
with engineers and product managers on driving UI concepts, building
interactive prototypes with the latest design patterns and technologies, and
communicating designs to product managers and developers. The position is
located in Brisbane, CA.



 

Web/Flash
Developer/Staff SkypeWorks Engineer

Location: Brisbane, CA

 

This
individual will work with a small incubation team on a series of short sprint
projects and prototypes to develop a series of new ideas which will translate
into products that will hit the marketplace.  Great opportunity to create and 
experience extreme
variety in your work.

 

Basic
Qualifications Pre-requisite knowledge, skills and experience

-    5+ years experience with web development

-    High degree of proficiency with PHP, Java,
and ideally also Flex/Actionscript

-    Ability to write clear, clean, readable,
portable, reliable and manageable code. 

-    Ability to create software given
loose/incomplete specifications

-    Creative individual

-    Positive, self starting team-oriented
attitude

-    Experience with end user usability
paradigms for web and desktop applications 

-    Education Bachelors Degree in a relevant
technical field.

 

Highly Desired

-    Experience with VoIP and realtime media
protocols

-    Experience with RTMFP

-    Experience with Swiz framework and
inversion of control

-    Unit testing experience with Fluint or
other Actionscript testing frameworks

-    Familiarity with XMPP and web services

-    Great written and oral communication skills

-    Experience in an Agile development team
including writing unit tests

-    Development experience with front-end web
development technologies including: JavaScript,      XHTML, CSS

-    C++ a bonus.
