I've noticed that the vast majority of sys admins who are heavily involved
in the online community and the real-life community (i.e. professional orgs
like LOPSA) seem to be Linux admins. Why is it that Linux admins tend me to
be so much more involved do you guys think?

Personally I guess I fall a bit more on the Linux side, but this is
changing. The company's IT infrastructure I manage (~200 employees, 2 sys
admins, one in Europe, and me here in North America) is about 60% Windows
and 40% Linux. I tend to enjoy the Linux work a lot more but we still have
more investment on the Windows side of things (AD, Exchange, SharePoint,
etc).

I'm a pretty new LOPSA member but from what I can tell LOPSA is trying to
get more Windows admins involved...has the group been successful with this
so far?

Anyways, just my two cents. Hoping to get a full dollar back from you guys.
