If there is, then as Dave hinted, I would guess at least 70% of the information in such a collection is out of date. :( So much of the stuff that's out there is made available because someone had an itch that needed scratching. But once it's scratched and stops itching, the author or community of contributors tends to forget about it...leaving the intellectual detritus strewn about. This _is_ an area that LOPSA could try to tackle...but it's a monumental undertaking, and I admit I wouldn't even know where to begin. I suppose I have some old favorites on my bookshelf: _Unix System Administration Handbook_, by Nymeth, Snyder, Seebass and Hein (first through third editions, even!). Obviously there's _The Practice of System and Network Administration_ that Tom and others often mention. (I still need to snag a copy of that...even if only to loan out to new recruits). I'm sure others have favorite tomes of knowledge that could provide a starting point...at least for how to organize the information if nothing else... _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.lopsa.org https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
