Brandon, remember that what we call "Natural Sciences" were originally
called "Natural Philosophy".  In that spirit, I would call engineering
physical philosophy, or perhaps better, methodological philosphy.
Certainly how I fix things tends to partake of the philosophical more
than rote learning.

And I would agree that there's not a lot concerning how humans deal with
the physical world that is not engineering.  And maths.  I would except
perhaps falling into mud puddles and similar accidents that come from
ignoring the maths and engineering of the situation.
