Hi everyone,

Quick note for the San Francisco/Silicon Valley members (with apologies to
the others on the list).

BayLISA, the local sysadmin group for Silicon Valley, meets the third
Thursday of each month with presentations from local technology companies
and professionals. The meetings are open to the public, and are usually
(recently) held at LinkedIn in Mountain View (a few minutes from 101 and
Shoreline).

We'd especially like to invite local LOPSA members to join us at the
meetings and get involved. There's no cost, and BayLISA membership is not
required to attend. We usually have refreshments and sometimes even have
pizza. And it's a great chance to network with your peers, and get
involved in the local organization.

* 2/17/11 ISC on BIND10

This month's meeting, 2/17/2011, features Evan Hunt of the ISC BIND
development team talking BIND 10 process model and architecture. RSVP at
http://www.meetup.com/BayLISA/events/15909149/

* 3/17/11 Force 10 and Arista on advanced networking

Next month's meeting, 3/17/2011 (yay February), is "Networking Beyond
Route And Switch" featuring tech folks from Arista Networks and Force 10
networks talking about the latest in automation, provisioning, and
virtualization from a networking perspective. RSVP at
http://www.meetup.com/BayLISA/events/16403756/

* Looking for other speakers/topics

We're looking for more speakers and topics for upcoming meetings.
Suggestions are welcome directly to me or through the contact button on
Meetup. We also have a "short topics" meeting scheduled for June 16, so if
you'd like to do a short (5/10/15 minute) presentation on something
interesting that you're doing, let me know and I'll book you.

Disclaimer: I'm a board member for BayLISA, and a member of LOPSA.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Rob
