Hi, Christopher -

If you want to become a more lucid writer I recommend you read Richard
Lanham's "Revising Prose". [ISBN-10 0205309453] It's a bit pricey new
but you can pickup a copy used for a couple of bucks. He's all about
clear communication without falling into the dreaded Official Voice.
Great book! (Also, *short* book.)
