I haven't ready the official document from Apple about how exactly a subscription is defined, but I have many apps that I regularly use that access subscription services. Including: Safari Books, Netflix, Hulu, Rhapsody, Audible, Evernote, Toodledo, Xmarks, Lastpass, Dropbox, and Xfinity(Comcast), etc. Do these new rules mean for example that any person should be able to subscribe to Comcast content via their iOS device? Given that a Comcast subscription is about $100/month with all the premium channels, does this now somehow mean that if a new person subscribed via the iOS that Apple would get $34 cut? As a consumer I am going to be seriously upset at Apple, if all those services bump their prices up 30% or choose to remove their apps.
