It doesn't exist.  Jailbreak it (which is legal) and go to Cydia for your apps. 
 Of course you forfeit your right to get support from Apple, but that's a 
tradeoff that you as the owner can make.

The Apple iOS software ecosystem is closed and curated.  This is not a secret 
to anyone.  That's the way they've decided to try to build their platform.  
It's their choice because they built it all.  There are alternatives in the 
market that you as a consumer can choose instead if you don't like it.

I think what peeves most people off is that Apple is having massive amounts of 
success with their closed model.
