I'm using Firefox 3/4 and there is a gear icon. When Google Instant was introduced I vaguely remember they still hadn't changed their interface to add the gear icon though. I don't really understand why all the crying about this. I also didn't like Google Instant the first 5 minutes that I tried and my first instinct was to go the the Preferences and disable it. I've never used it since then but thanks for reminding us that his feature exists, I'll give it a try again to see if they've improved it. -- Giovanni Tirloni
