Hey folks, LISA out of your price range this year? (I hope not,
everyone should go to LISA!) Or looking for something more? Try the
Ohio LinuxFest. Not in Ohio? Neither are about half of our
attendees. People come from all over the US and Canada (and other
countries) to attend OLF.

(The Ohio LinuxFest is happy to have LOPSA as a sponsor.)
--------------------

The Ohio LinuxFest is again offering Friday classes with the OLF
Institute on Friday, September 9, 2011. We offer both introductory
classes for the beginner, professional development for sysadmins and
personal development for all. These classes are all offered by
experts in their fields.

Full day classes for the IT professionals looking to add to their
resume include the LPIC cram session, which will prepare you to take
the LPIC 101 and 102 exams, which are conveniently offered on Sunday.

In addition, we offer "FreeBSD for Linux System Administrators" for
those who want to learn more about FreeBSD, and "VIM: From Essentials
to Mastery", which offers the secrets and tricks of VIM.

If a full day class is not what you are looking for, we offer a
variety of half-day courses.

In the morning the offerings include, "Apache Server Wizardry",
"Databases: What You Need to Know", "Practical Photography" and
"Introduction to Python for System Administration".

Afternoon sessions include, "mod_rewrite Boot Camp", "Introduction to
Python for System Administration", "Intro to Arduino Programming", and
"Non Obvious Nagios."

Registration requires the Professional Pass, which costs $350 ($250
for the Linux Basics class) and includes one day of class(es), lunch
on both Friday and Saturday and an official Ohio LinuxFest t-shirt.
