What do you consider custom monitoring? Using net snmp extend I exposed application state to OpenNMS. It also supports nagios plugins, but I haven't tried them. You can monitor jmx and do simple http transactions without the plugins. I mention it because I think it hits everything else on your list except for the pony: * ticket system integration * dashboards * rest api * monitoring and metrics * notification escalation As long as you size your IO requirements properly, 1000 hosts shouldn't be a problem. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
