I recently started using Xibo (Open Source), and have been very happy
with it: http://xibo.org.uk/
Likes: Good ease of use, works with a Windows PC, can play video,
images, and PPT files. Updates are made to a central server, which then
pushes them to the screens.
Dislikes: Needs a full PC (Windows or Linux). Still a little rough
around the edges, particularly WRT groups.

Hi,
My company (a school district) wants to put large monitors in some of
its schools to act as digital signs for the kids so I am wondering
how other folks have done this? We have looked at both streaming
from a central server to them or using a local machine hooked up to
the display. I am very interested in what you use and what you
like/dislike about it.
cheers,
ski
