Hi,

We have several applications and databases that we create data dumps from each
night. Due to space limitations on the server SAN, we would like to write
these to our NAS device. For unix this is not a problem as I just NFS mount
the NAs device and all my processes can write to it. However, on windows it
seems like this is impossible as mounted disks are done per user and disappear
when the user logs off. My immediate problem is doing it with a SQL 2005
database. I have the backup job set up, but cannot figure out how to make a
mounted drive available to it. Is this even possible? If so, how would I do
it?

cheers,

ski
