Maybe this belongs on the -tech list, if so, sorry. We've recently decided on the Atlassian stack for our new company platform. We're running the entire thing: Jira, GreenHopper, Crowd, FishEye, Confluence, all of it. At least, we plan to. We'll be supporting SVN initially and Git eventually. Now it's up to my team (read: me) to figure out how to best deploy this stack to globally distributed teams, probably half a million active projects, and about 20,000 users. We already know that we're looking at multiple deployments over several geographies most likely. I'm looking at: * Atlassian's OnDemand offering * Atlassian's newly announced enterprise hosting offering * Rackspace * EC2 * Google Computer Engine * anything else someone could recommend * doing it in-house (and if it should be 'real' or virtual)
I'm specifically looking for experience w/ scaling the beast and what platforms/providers work best therein. Any offers of advice/caveats/insights?
