Sure, that all makes sense. I think I was suspecting as much, since they didn't say anything about being affiliated with (for example) the IACET.

I guess my point is that it doesn't really matter who they are affiliated with.

for example, I teach at an annual Search and Rescue regional Conference (http://sarcityusa.org/) and they provide CEUs affilliated with Barstow Community College. But if you pay the registration you get the CEUs, even if all you do is have someone pick up your registration packet for you and you don't even get into California.
