I can't live without quest. The MS provided powershell modules are very powerful and usually do everything you need, but for example, Get-ADUser and Get-QADUser have different options and slightly different behavior. The most important thing for me is being able to connect to a domain that I'm not joined to. While I'm sure there's some way to do that with standard MS, something about mapping a drive confused me, whereas in Quest, you simply specify the username & domain you want to connect with. Almost brainlessly simple. Quest is owned or supported by, or somehow a part of Dell. So I don't expect them to change dramatically any time soon. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
