This is interesting, I'll have to look into it.  I once went down the
road of trying to get cfengine setup and deployed, but got bogged down
in the syntax and such.  

I'm also only maintaining a couple of hundred systems at most.  But I
do have a couple of groups where it would really make my life simpler
to have a master config I push to standalone boxes, to ensure they're
consistent with one another, but still mostly standalone.
