Yeah...the slideshare doesn't mention the key part of having of v3 executor run
both v2 and v3 agents.

Otherwise, there's a good chance that we'd fully upgraded by now (or very
close) Since I'm managing a small setup on the side with CF3. Which was a
struggle, because it wasn't being done before and wouldn't been very easy ...
and faster to not have. But, I already have CF3 doing more than just config
files. The process promises have been big, wish we had been shown that in
CF2....but didn't dig much into it until after the administrator that forced it
on us had left. He picked a time when we were between $boss-es. Previous $boss
was convinced it would destroy the datacenter....and there were a few times it
did.

But, it was doing what it had been told to do....

Ran it by the $boss, and he's pretty much set on that we'll be a Chef shop
sooner than later and that everything under CF2 can just stay as is until they
all go away through attrition. Plus he wants the reporting stuff, which
requires Enterprise CF3, but is free for Chef.

Though unlike in the past...he's been getting his hands dirty working and
learning Ruby, Chef, Vagrant, Jenkins, Git....which means now I have to learn
about all those things to catch up...when I get done with the project that's
been consuming my time.....
