A while back, I left Flickr for Ipernity (along with a few thousand
others), and it's been pretty comfortable for me so far. There were
lots of people on Flickr that cared about how many views their images
got (many of them are professional photographers, so that makes sense)
although I do not.

Recently it's been noticed that Ipernity images don't show up in the
google image searches. Here's a discussion on it:

I figured it would be an easy answer, but it isn't; at least it isn't
anything that I can see. Ipernity has "articles" and those show up.
I spent hours looking at the page source, and other than a "nopin"
directive to pinterest, there's nothing I can see.

I'm asking here because there are a bunch of people here I know to be
smart, and I've just run out of ideas on what to look for. I don't
believe that it's an SEO optimization, since I've seen images from my
own sites show up, and there is just no way I have anything optimized
(SEO or otherwise).

Any pointers would be great.
