Somebody (John, Tom ?) please write a blog post about this.

It’s a great advocacy opportunity! :^D

A key point in the list is 7 out of the top 10 are related to our field in one
way or another. They are computer related and some of us started out
programming and ended up as the sysadmin as a result of "Tag you are it."

Plus, #13 is DBA, #8 is Network Engineer, and #2 is Information Security
Analyst, all of which our rather broad definition of Sysadmin might cover (not
to mention the other slots for programmer, Web designer, software engineer, and
Web app developer, which all have potential to overlap with administration as
well).

Looks like Seattle is a great place to be starting out in a tech career right
now!
