Hello OpenDaylight Community Members: Here are the OpenDaylight activity highlights for the week of 1/16/17:
*The Individual-Committer-Member Board Of Directors Representative Election is Underway:* Voting Closes at 11:59pm UTC on January 25th. For information on the process and/or point of the election, along with how to become a Committer-Member of the OpenDaylight Project (you must first be an ODL Committer), see [0]. To see this year's candidates and the timeline for the election, see [1]. To see the email thread that kicked off the election process, see [2]. There will be a preference for talks that go beyond just explaining some technology within an open source project (such as ODL) and more focused on how these components are (or can be) used in deployment scenarios to solve real-world problems. We would like to have a strong showing from the ODL developer and user communities so please submit your proposal this week. Please consider submitting your ODL-based solution to the Showcase. To see logistics for the meeting please go to [5]. The migration is essential to the continued health and well-being of the project and our downstream users. Every Project in the Carbon Release will need to perform this migration. Stephen Kitt and Robert Varga are helping to lead this effort. There is a wiki page here [0] and a Technical Workstream Meeting recording here[1] providing specific "HowTo" information for making the transition.
