Team,

In going through the karaf4 migration guide here
https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Karaf:Step_by_Step_Guide I would like to
offer some suggestions for improvement.

I don’t know the best protocol for improving the wiki. I might directly edit
the page I suppose, but would prefer some input before I do, as I don’t know
all the details (see TBDs below). Here are my suggestions:

1) "All projects must complete..”
Add “ migration can be considered complete when TDB
This requirement is part of the M4 (?) milestone"

2) Step 1. Append after last paragraph
“one may determine the availability of karaf4 features by using the
nexus repo manager tool here:
https://nexus.opendaylight.org/#nexus-search;quick~features-restconf. Search
for the name of the feature, e.g. features4-restconf

Note that you do not need to reference karaf4 assets directly in your
pom or features files. The maven parent poms in your new modules (see below)
will resolve the karaf4 versions”

3) Step 5 “..test your new features in a Karaf 4 distribution..”.
Add “To test features in a local karaf ditto, follow directions here:
https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Karaf:Step_by_Step_Guide. See section “Test
your features for functionality in your local karaf distro.

—— the instruction here do not work for me. See here for details
https://ask.opendaylight.org/question/14453/run-the-opendaylight-karaf-distro-archetype-fails/

4) Step 6. This section is not explicit enough to be helpful (at least to me).
an example should be provided

Skitt - you appear to be the latest editor of this page. How do you suggest we
proceed? Thanks
