Bumping this thread because we really need to get to a resolution ASAP,
folks need to book travel.

The options I've seen:

1. DDF on Thursday/Friday before ONS. Very long trip, but no conflicts.
2. DDF on Sunday before ONS. Conflicts with XCI event, working on the
weekend sucks.
3. DDF during Mon/Tue of ONS. Conflicts with cross-community collaboration
event. Unclear if cross-community event has two full days of relevant
content. Maybe possible to time-slice in a way that minimizes conflict (DDF
in the morning, cross-community events involving ODL in the afternoon).
4. Have a virtual DDF. Likely not as productive, little support voiced so
far.

I prefer 1 or 3, since the XCI event is critical for me.
