Try installing the odl-l2switch-all feature to get rid of loops in
your mininet topology.
warning, l2switch is no longer maintained and will not be available
in newer versions of OpenDaylight, but it should be there in Oxygen.

loop issue which need STP. But from documentation of ODL Oxygen, loop
remover and STP should have been configured with ODL. So I don’t know
