FYI - Voting for the board election is now open. Charter members are
now asked to place their votes according to the process below. I'm
copying the following message to this main list just to keep everyone
generally in the loop with what is going on, though only Charter
members can vote. Results will be posted after the 25th.

Subject: Board Elections Now Open!
Dear Charter Members,
As a Charter Member, your main responsibility is to elect the OSGeo
Board of Directors. We're now ready to carry on with the Board
Elections. I'm taking over from Jo to get the votes in and tallied
up. I've given extra time (~10 days) due to the various holidays
that I know people are on, but please don't wait unnecessarily. If
all votes are in sooner, I'll post the results.
Here's the process:
* Only Charter Members are eligible to vote [1]
* Choose from Board Member Nominations 2008 list [2]
* Email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a list of names 4 lines long (one vote
per new member slot)
* You can vote for 4 different people, or the same person 4 times,
or any balance in between.
* Voting closes midnight (your timezone) 25-July-2008
* Results will be posted at Board Election Results 2008 page [3]
