Hi activists,

we all are driven by the same belief in FOSS. Some of us do coding in their spare time, some make their living with it. At the FOSS4G-Europe some 14 people met for a BoF meeting on "FOSS & business" putting their minds together.

OSGeo representatives Jeff McKenna and Jachym Cepicky were present, among others to discuss how OSGeo might support FOSS businesses. They promised to carry discussion into OSGeo. One outcome is this new mailing list where all who pursue commercial FOSS activities of any kind are invited to join (consulting, free code development, system integration, dual license models, journalists, etc):

Let us use this platform to find out how FOSS can make the positive difference for doing business in software industry! Some interesting comments are already posted = in the archive.

cu there,
Peter
