For the record, the OSGeo Board was not involved in the FOSS4G video
debate (most of those 47 messages were at the OSGeo Conference Committee
level, where they should happen); I saw that and quickly motioned to the
Board to approve, so the Conference Committee can move on. The board
quickly voted and agreed to let the Conference Committee decide a proper
method for future years.

Good to see we have this election wave going.
@Michael, I'd bet you would be a good discussion moderator for an election
debate at FOSS4G 2016 !
Of course this all closely related to an other thread that are going on ("osgeo is
becoming irrelevant")
I'd like to ask our board candidates what their opinion is on the current
relationship between the Board and the OSGeo-committees.
In order to make it easier my observation: I get the impression that the Board
spends much time on practical issues (such as the 47 mails regarding the 200
dollar grant for a Vimeo Pro account) which easily could be delegated to
committees. (finance, website, marketing, conference etc.). Thus the Board can
concentrate on more strategical matters (and keep an eye on the progress in the
committees)

GJ
ps. 32 hours until the closure of the ballot-boxes...
