Thanks Ravi for posting this. I have just returned after an extended absence to find this issue.
I have great respect for Jeff and for the exceptional job that he has been doing over the years for open source spatial software. I do not like how this has played out, particularly with very little information being provided. I second Ravi's call to the OSGeo Board for more information on what actually occurred to arrive at this outcome.
