Suchith,

The education programs offered by the NASA Teacher-In-Space astronaut and
Master Teacher, Ron Fortunato, all open source and open data, clearly shows
what is possible in the realm of truly inspired GeoForAll education. Especially
given his students have already provided the UN/FAO with their invasive species
tracking system.

Subject: [OSGeo-Discuss] Info. needed on GIS education initiatives on
Sustainable tourism development

Dear colleagues,

2nd UNWTO World Conference on Smart Destinations organized by the United
Nations World Tourism Organization [1], the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and the
Digital Agenda of Spain and the Government of the Principality of Asturias,
will be held in Oviedo (Asturias, Spain) from the 25th – 27th of June 2018

Bringing together ministers, government representatives, private sector
entities, researchers and academics, as well as technology centers, the event
is an important platform for participants to share knowledge, build
partnerships and advance in their understanding about the development and key
elements of smart destinations

I have been invited to speak and share ideas at this conference on the
education and research aspects of mapping. I will appreciate if those of you
doing research on GIS and sustainable tourism development can share with me
their latest research , so I can learn more. I will acknowledge your
contributions. Please email this to me by 10th June 2018. Thanks in advance for
your help

Best wishes,

Suchith
