Subject: Online Course ‘Beyond the Visible – Introduction to Hyperspectral
Remote Sensing’ starting on 24 November 2021

Dear All,

I like to forward the Announcement of the Online Course ‘Beyond the Visible –
Introduction to Hyperspectral Remote Sensing’ starting on 24 November 2021.
Please feel free to forward this announcement.

---

Dear all,

HYPERedu and EO-College proudly present the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)
‘Beyond the Visible – Introduction to Hyperspectral Remote Sensing’ to start on
24 November 2021. The MOOC teaches the principles of imaging spectroscopy,
sensor technologies and data acquisition techniques, hyperspectral data
processing approaches and data sources, and provides expert-led hands-on
training. It addresses students and users around the world assuming basic
knowledge in the field of optical remote sensing. The course comprises three
thematic lessons and is designed to take you about five hours, to be completed
at your own pace. Check out the table of contents and register at the course
page<https://eo-college.org/courses/beyond-the-visible/> on EO-College.

The course was developed by GFZ Potsdam as part of the HYPERedu
initiative<https://www.enmap.org/events_education/hyperedu/> with support from
experts at various partner institutions. The development was funded within the
EnMAP science program under the German Space Agency at DLR with resources from
the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy. More educational
resources on hyperspectral remote sensing, including a growing number of
CC-BY-licensed slide collections and tutorials are available in the resources
section on EO-College<https://eo-college.org/resource-spectrum/hyperspectral/>.

With kind regards,

Arlena, Charlotte and Saskia for the entire team involved in the MOOC
development

Best regards,

Michael Bock
