On seeing a reference in the code that qPloneComments was to be removed in plumi 0.5, I had a play with the internal plone commenting/discussion system. Works fine, except for the lack of moderation which we would need for (at least) engagemedia.org. A recent article on this suggests this will find its way into future plone releases <http://www.martinaspeli.net/articles/commenting-in-plone> but isn't there yet. We should stick with qPloneComment for the time being as that's what we already use, though there is a light-weight alternative in collective.discussionplus, which rather than replace the inbuilt discussion system (as qPloneComment does), augments it with moderation and metadata.
