Hey Mike,
this wordpress issue is just for self-hosted wordpress sites, which did
previously allow embedding fine. I am are aware of the of wp.com issue you
mention.
Is there another way around it that doesn't ask anything of the users? (ie
turning the visual editor off or adding a plugin). Before 3.1 it worked
with no problems and I think we need that ease of use again, most users
unfortunately will try it once, if it doesn't work they will move to
another site to host their video that has this feature. :(
