Hallo Plumi Folks, We just released our beta version of raw-news.net powered by Plumi.
I am quite a novice to the Plone environment. So maybe someone can give me the right hint about an Issue with Plone-FTP: After a video is uploaded through the ploneftp (and reachable in the Members/.../video/folder_contents) this is not picked up by the transcoder. On the contrary, immediately after any ftp-upload the transcodedaemon stops running and needs to be manually restarted. That is, videos which are even http-uploaded successively won't be transcoded. On ftp-uploads, the transcoder and the supervisor do not log anything strange and so does the ploneftp. I'm building against Plumi version 4.2.2, ploneftp is running as root, but on a different port than 21. I would also like to ask about switching to the <video> tag for embedding videos. I only get the flash flowplayer option from the transcode settings. Generic Setup lets me indeed upgrade the plumi.app profile from version 4 to version 4.1, and from 4.1 to 4.11 -- Is this normal btw?. Having a look at the source, in install.py from plumi.app the functions responsible of such upgrades should provide html5-video tag support. Even after performing these upgrades the flowplayer option is the only I get. I thank you in advance for any feedback.
