When viewing an embedded video, the image is often loaded much more slowly
than it should - appearing in its entirety only after most of the video
has loaded.
On Facebook this problem shows up a little differently.
On Facebook, after pasting in a video and on first click the image does
not load, so only a white blank rectangle appears where the player (with
image) should be.
- could we again change the way images are loaded into the player to
address this, so at least it is not blank?
- is there a loading symbol we could switch on as another way of giving
feedback to the user that something is happening?
Requires quite a few hours in order to be solved. The image is being
served by the zope server while the video is served directly through the
web server. In order to solve this, we could serve the image also from the
web server, but that would require changing the daemon and plumi in order
for the daemon to update the image in the filesystem, every time it gets
updated on plumi.
